It's not usually what I listen to, but they'res still a part of his song's that resonate w/ me

...considering his HUGE discography!

what albums would be recommended (best albums whatsoever) for starters?

His best albums are usually considered to be Excitable Boy and Life'll Kill Ya, although all are excellent. I wouldn't reccomend checking out his other work if you don't like those two albums, though.
