I clearly know nothing of power mixers (companies that make them included) other than they can make the vocals in my band be heard while jamming.

+ sites always list their products more expensive than they really are in stores.

Yes, but your question is really too broad to give you a decent answer. Look at Peavey, Alesis, and Nady.

Dude, you live in Canada, and I'm assuming have no access to GC. I have no idea how things are priced there, so I really can't help you aside from giving you brands. Nady and Peavey make very cheap powered mixers. So does Yamaha.
