I have no problem what's so ever with audacity. Is it your speakers?

Wow seriously TS?

Describe your setup and recording method and maybe we can begin to help you diagnose the problem....

I have a Tascam US-122 hooked-up to the USB and using a mic for recording.

Is there something in the settings I can change for less fuzz?

What mic? Is a dynamic or a condensor?

Judging from your setup so far it's probably not an Audacity problem. Check the gain levels on your mic first and make sure it's not cranked too much.

Also make sure your interface is not running through any type of usb hub or extension. This can introduce noise as well.
