A harmonica amp, that is.

Under 200.

I'm thinking an Epi Valve Junior, a Electar Tube 10, Epi Valve Standard.

15 watts or less.

Lots of mids.

Tube only.

GO!

I'm seriously looking for a harmonica amp.

Check my post history before you call me a troll.

Pignoses sound amazing with a harmonica...portable too.

For a tube amp though I'd get a Champ.

Orange TT?

Hm...

Never thought of that one.

It might be a bit 1. expensive and 2. dirty for harp, though.

Yup, there's a guy who gigs round my way with one...this is his band

he uses a Twin Reverb mostly, but if he's just sitting in or jamming he just uses the Pignose

Sounds good.

Though the main function is going to be for recording purposes.

Definitely worth trying one out in that case seeing as they have preamp out.

Why are you such a tool?

Talk about a posting that equates to one below what a monkey can do!

No under 12s should be allowed here.

You recommend yourself a few in the third statement - so try them out - or are we at the stage still where people order amps from the Sears catalogue on other people's recommendations without even hearing them first hand?

Dude, you ain't noe.
Goolz knows alot, I'm sure he just wants other opinions. Is that a problem?
Try not to call people tools then turn yourself into one in the following text. It's bad for the reputation.

^Those sound good.

Thanks to the dude who said V5, I had completely forgot about those.

What I was thinking of doing was actually running one of these small tube combos in stereo with my Vox DA5.

That would be teh awesome.
#25
i was thinking either a Fender champ 600, Gretsch G5222 (basically the champ with the kinks worked out), or a Blackheart LG. if you keep your eye out one eBay, they have little harp amps on there all the time.

It runs a 6V6 and is cathode bias, right?

I'm not even sure I can pull of a half decent harp solo

But I'm thinking that good toanz will inspire teh chops
#29
They will inspire you Goolz. Tonez always do or we wouldn't keep doing it. I'm wondering how your Da5 sounds? I still think a beat up Pro Jr would be the shiz. But these small amps will do the trick, Champ, Harley, Pignose, VJ. Harp through 2 amps set up for stereo chorus with some od running FTW! Could sound like ass though, I never tried it...

There's a dude who runs a stereo rig on Youtube. He runs a small SS with an awesome tube combo (a 2x8) that sounds tits.

The DA5 has awesome tone in and of itself, but I really want to hear what it sounds like with a harp.
#31
I bet it's not bad. Never tried mine either, but I should just for grins. Da5's barely get love around here. But we know they rock.
