Have you recently heard any songs which have left a strong impression on you?
One I have recently heard is Under it all by Steve Vai. When I heard the song it felt like it was digging deep into my soul, it really got me thinking about who we all really are and if our personalities are just a cover up that hides what we are feeling inside so that we don't look weak. I imagine everyone must have those inner pains of something we perhaps regret doing or somebody we love that has left us. It's a song that Steve Vai wrote for his own satisfaction because he felt something was missing from the album, but it still ended up leaving me impressed on how deep he can go into these emotions.

The Who - Behind Blue Eyes

Especially the Concert for New York (9/11 rememberance) where Daltry was almost crying while singing. It's just an amazing song. It's how I would define musical genius; god bless Townshend for this beauty.

Is that a ukulele in your pants, or did you just rip ass to the tune of "Aloha Oi"?

I met Sonic Youth on June 30th, and Mars Volta on Oct 20th.

Get him into blues. Lyrical depth-not so much. But it is groovy and it is black people's music so if he doesn't enjoy then he is not a true black person.
