My band have a gig scheduled for mid-October and we want a few songs to cover. However, we do not want to cover anything cliche like Smoke on the Water, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Sunshine of Your Love etcetera. We want to cover songs that people may not necessarily know but will like anyway. For example: Peace of Mind by Boston. How can someone who has never heard that song not like it live anyway? I just need a few songs to cover live that audiences will appreciate and that are not cliche.

Thank You.

the spirit of radio- rush

It's just an easy way to shift blame as always. If Slipknot caused people to get murdered, then spoons caused Rosie O'Donnell to get fat.

You, sir, win an internet for liking ShineDown.

Anyway, try Burn Burn by lostprophets. It's not insanely popular, but it's well known and it's really, really energetic. Same with Falling Down by ATREYU.

This.
Plus maybe anything Thrice. Not sure if it's your style, but I've only seen one band cover it.
Maybe a Hives song that isn't "Hate To Say I Told You So", or a Vines song that isn't "Get Free"
ok, yeah. my name is silly because I signed up when I was 13.
