Simple problem, I hope, as I only have 30 minutes or so before I have to leave. (hence me being here and not on a computer forum)

I've got a flash drive and my linux desktop (Xubuntu Hardy) is recognizing it as a read-only file system. I need a file from the computer.

I just used the same flash drive normally on the same computer earlier today.

Help?
Nope, no sig here.

restart your computer?

check your permissions.

use a terminal to copy paste the file onto it.
My Gear:
Gibson Faded Flying V
"Dante's Inferno" Iceman
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 112
etc.

I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.

restarted, permissions are fine, and I'm not exactly sure how to fix this with the terminal...it's recognizing it as a read-only file system, like a CD-R with stuff already on it.

check the flash drive itself. there might be a switch on there that "locks" it.

My mind is going. I can feel it.
