hey

i was playing my elec guitar threw my bass amp last night (i dont have my guitar amp anymore) and i was told that because i dont have a tweeter in my bass amp i could damage the amp playing the higher notes on the elec guitar (high e). is this true?

No, bass speakers can handle the higher notes, they just sound bad without the tweeter. On the other hand, playing a bass through a guitar amp is bad because the lower notes damage the guitar speaker. Some people prefer the sound by playing a guitar through a bass amp, but neither your amp or guitar will be damaged.
