^ yeah.

is it steel? or some....aluminum...or lead coated or something?? i thought steel because i have seen them rusted before but my LFR isnt really rusting where the paint was (the finish is wearing away).

I'm trying, well, not 'trying', but i'm hoping for EVERYTHING on my Syn Standard to wear down and relic, including the bridge, to maybe give it more of an...individual?? feel? lol idk, but what material is it made from?

I'm sure different parts are made of different materials... And not all LFRs are the same.

I'd think Steel because Aluminum and Lead wouldn't be able to hold up very well against constant use. They're just plated with a coating so they won't rust, when this gets worn off, relicing will happen.

I think it's a cast iron main part with hardened steel knife edges and plated with whatever.

Don't quote me on that though

Well, based on me seeing many Floyds tarnished and rusted, I'd have to say yes

one thing about LFRs - they are a piece of crap!

i could make a better trem out of my cats food can.

ive broken every single one ive had because of that shoddy metal they use - they arent even worth a tenner.

The only locking trem that has been ok was my LoPro3 or whatever that new one is on my JEM 7VWH

Those ones on the new PRS are v.cool too.
