trade my '96 MIM stratocaster for a new Fender Champ? i really love the amp, but i like the stratocaster too. i already have another stratocaster, but you know the saying: one's too many and one hundred ain't enough.

i also have a phase 90 I'm going to trade in and a Morley A/B box. do you guy's think it will be enough.

so you're a fender man eh? well i gotta better deal for ya!!!

i'll trade ya my 93' Ranger Fender for your strat...it's a beauty i tell ya....

is one fender a HSS and the other SSS? if they're both the same setup, then NO DOUBT go ahead. if neither/both of them have a bridge humbucker, then i say trade is good. however, it's always nice to have a multitude of tones if you're guitars offer different pup styles.

what amp do you have now?

i think a SuperChamp XD would be right up your alley. Besides, you can always switch up remaining Strat to HSS if it's routed for it which it probably is.

i was thinking that, but i love the sheer simplicity of the Champ 600. my buddy has a vibrochamp, but i didn't like it. i really dug the tone of the cHamp 600 when i tried it.

ps, i am not really interested in HSS strats. honestly, i never cared for them. i always just liked the original design.

Dude, you can get a Champ 600 for about 120 used. A MIM Strat will go for more than twice that.

do you have more then just your MG?

PS - I didn't bother checking your profile...I just know that you love it.

i think he knows his Strats pretty well so I'm more curious as to what this thread is all about.

It would be a nice amp. Definitely not like what you currently have. If you like the amp, go for it.

On the other hand, if you love your MIM Strat, I'd hang on to it. If its your true love, the guitar you enjoy playing, the guitar you want to grow old with, don't get rid of it.

yea...it's heavy- so you know it's got that SUSTAAAAIIIIINNNNNNNNNNN...

on topic, it looks like both strats are S/S/S, so just sell one and get your amp and still have cash left over for PEDALS!!! or make a budget for a possibly better amp!

I retract my last post. Don't trade your Strat for a Champ 600. Your Strat is worth a lot more than that thing. Save up and buy a cheap used one.

i'm just saying you have 2 strats now

do you play both

are they set up differently or something?

why trade? The point is you could sell one of your strats and get enough for cool amp that you want with or without selling your MG too.

(remember...i gave you kudos on your song)

That strat could get traded for a much better amp, seriously.

Sell off those other amps you have and see if you got the cashola for something good.
