I think it was Dammit by Blink 182. I had my amp cranked all the way up with terrible distortion that I thought was excellent at the time hah.

I started by buying a B.C. Rich NJ Series Warlock with Floyd Rose / Transparent blue finish in early junior high (to show off to girls at recess, and I didn't know what the Floyd was for/how to tune it), and taking "lessons" from my friend who was maybe 13 and didn't know chord names. So naturally the first song I learned was smoke on the water in drop something tuning, then Iron Man.

I doubt you learned the solo to Smoke On The Water, it's really tricky for a beginner.

The first one, I'm not too sure, but it might've been Smells Like Teen Spirit, or Wild Thing by The Troggs. That's a fun song to get you warmed up.
