we want it to where no body else can take claim to our name.
ive already searched multiple places, and its not taken.

Dude - isn't registering the name of your band just slightly anal?
If your music is good, it doesn't matter what the hell you call your band. The music makes the name, not the other way around.
Do you feel warm within your cage?

And have you figured out yet -

if you go for enough for having a registered name to matter, then it will have already been done.

It's not smart. If people like your music, they're not going to care if you have to change your name. Besides, like the other poster said, you don't even have any material yet - why worry about a name? By the time you get to the point where you NEED it ©, it'll be done by your manager/company.

how do you know we dont have any material?
dont act like you know us, cuz you dont.
and, i was just asking a quiestion, cuz ive seen it happen to bands before, and i dont want it to be us. and i dont wanna have to keep changing the name, cuz eventually it would get annoying. i wanna keep a name and stay with it.

Oh, crap.... I hate it when a thread starts off in a flurry of ignorance disguised as affirmation of truth.

This thread has it all... the info, the insane stupidity of dumb-ass comments from people who can't read, and the ensuing comedy... all in four fairly readable and at times entertaining pages.

Well you just decided on a band name, so you can't have THAT much material. And seeing as how you didn't even have a name before now, you probably haven't been gigging, either.

And I'm sorry that I pretended to know you when I don't - I forgot I was talking to a numetal goth.

As far as you having 'seen it happen and not wanting it to be us'

Losing a band name isn't the end of the world. Worry about someone stealing your SONGS, not your name.
