This is going to be my second guitar, coming off of a fender starcaster and i just cannot decide between these two so can you give me your opinion on which one i should get?

Fender Deluxe Player's Stratocaster Electric Guitar $639 I basically want a strat thats good, and this is a beautiful guitar.

or

Epiphone Tom DeLonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar $500 Im a big fan of Tom Delonge and I have always loved this guitar and can finally get it but I dont know because I heard that it sucks and is only good at playing pop punk music

please give me your opinion, and thanks

The strat. The Tom Delonge Custom will give you one tone, that will be muddy and will buzz like there's no tomorrow. Semi-Hollow+Hot (muddy) pickup= buzz with even a moderate amount of gain. The strat will be much more versatile. And it looks a lot better, too.

If you can't be bothered getting new hardware for the Deluxe Players (which do sound and kick arse), maybe get the Lonestar, another one of my faves.

They play brilliant. And anyways, who says high end Mexicans can't outdo the MIJ ones, they're bloody brilliant, you know.

EDIT: Or you could get the Roadhouse one, which is another good one.

Yes the strat is brilliant, sounds great, i used to be more about humbuckers but i'll only use single coils now, it looks lovely and the build quality is to an american standard
