Can anyone recommend the best seymour duncans to fit in the pacifica both for the 2 single coils and the humbucker?
#2
any reason why they have to be duncans? no point in limiting yourself for no good reason.

also, to help you as well as possible, could you tell us:

- which model pacifica is it?
-what's your amp?
-what country are you in? (affects prices and value of pickups)
-what music do you play?

Thanks.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

^that information would make things much easier

and don't limit yourself to duncans. i'm a huge dimarzio fan personally but there are tons of other good companies out there that you shouldn't take out of the picture yet.

I play mainly rock, blues and metal. I'm using a Marshall 100w dfx (no jokes please) but I also play through diff amps at the rehearsal studios etc. I'm in Scotland also.

for the single coils, you'd probably want the Duncan SHR-1 Hot Rails pickups. For the humbucker, I would try either the Ducnan SH-4 JB or the DiMarzio Super Distortion.

which pacifica is it? i assume it's the 112... if so, how about swinesheads? they're pretty good value in the UK, handwound (the cheaper duncans aren't), and are very nice (in my opinion). www.swinesheadpickups.co.uk

rockmonkey would also be worth a try, i haven't tried them, but they're handwound by a guy on this forum (Corduroy_EW, or something like that, based in wales, i think?), and there's a 10% discount to UG members. I hear good things, would also be worh considering. http://www.rockmonkeyguitars.com/
