well that would mean its a solid piece of wood unless its laminated or coated with something that you cant see the crack, i have a few 70's and 80's ibanez musicians like that

That's fine. Just because you can't see a dividing line just means that the wood grains are very similar in pattern and colour. It's a good thing. It means your top wood is consistent.
