im going to add some nice passive pickups to it... (cannot afford tube amp)
anyone know a $200 MAX guitar i can customize with seymour duncan pickups and it will sound nice?

none its called saving money to actualy buy a nice guitar
im not being a douche bag im giving an honest opinion buy a crap guitar is still gonna be cheaply made and will sound crappy

OK, you want to spend $200 on a guitar and put some $100 pups in it? But you can't afford a tube amp...
Actually, you can. Used Classic 30, Blues Jr, Crate VC3112, Valveking, bla bla bla...

Exactly my thoughts, but if you insist ts:

The best one in that price range imo, though Squire makes some nice cheap guitars, too. But unless you already have those duncan pups, I'd rather get something different. I mean, you can already get an Ibanez RG321 for under 300$ which is way nicer.
