Ok

I have an OLP MM1, I'm getting a coilsplit in it, would I be able to get more tones out of it, if it A, had a rotary 5 way switch, or B, had a mini switch.

P.S. It has a figured maple cap if that makes any difference.

With a rotary, you can have EVERY combo of a pup all on 1 switch and only drill 1 hole. Think PRS.

edit: with 3 rotaries, you can have every possible combo of an HH configuration.

It's a two pickup guitar, it currently has a three way selector and the rotary idea came about because I wasn't sure if it would be possible to drill through the maple.

P.S. PRS was my inspiration for the rotary witch.
