can i bend further with my Les Paul than with my Stratocaster?

is it because i am mentally holding back or what?

Like bend the string more? Maybe your strings are too tight? I dunno... What other explanation could there be?

String gauges? Action? Comfort?

These are just the basic factors... you could also not be wanting to bend as far while playing a song on your strat? Then again, you COULD be holding yourself back. I'm not a shrink.

shorter scale... that's why

about the same action on both, same gauge strings, same tuning

i think the action may be a little higher on my strat...not to noticeable though

yeah lps are 24 inch and strats are 25.5.
the shorter scale means that there is less tension on the strings
also the radius is different lps are 12" (i think) and strats are 9.5"

That doesn't really matter as it doesn't change the length of the strings.
