I've noticed slight corrosion around my pickups and quite a bit of it on the tuners and bridge. Is there a cheap and easy way of getting rid of it?

So far it hasn't effected the way the guitar plays or sounds, just doesn't look very appealing.

I prefer barbed wire strings. I find I can get the most br00t41 tonez with it.

What do you mean by corrosion? Is say the gold colour coming off of the silver metal underneather? or is the actual metal wearing away?

The second, the metal is just losing its shine and turning more and more dark.

Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish. Idk if you have gold hardware or not, but this'll take the gold right off. Only use it on nickle or chrome (never tried black).

Spraying WD-40 on it won't remove the rust, but it'll halt the oxidation process so it won't get any worse at least.
