so i decided to start a pedal board and i was wondering wat pedals i need for punk rock? just in case it makes a difference i have a gibson sg and a traynor ycv40t.

the proco rat is a good distortion for punk/garage rock, i think a couple of bands use some effects here and there, but mostly distortion. what's your budget?

i dont want to spend over $100 for each pedal but i prefer to spend less but i still want a good quality pedal. if it help my music for reflects the sounds of bands like alkaline trio and green day

well, the extent of effects that green day uses are a bit of delay and some tremolo. i suggest the boss DD-3 and a Boss TR-2 Tremolo.

also: it looks like all those bands use Marshall Heads. you may want to try and save up, because they mostly use the straight amps. keep in mind that Billie Joe's Plexi was modded, though.
