I got a HSS MIM strat and I'm going to have the bridge humbucker replaced. I have a PAF humbucker pickup that's covered; will this fit in the strat's pickguard? Or can the HSS bridge pickup only be uncovered?

Well if you have the strat and you have the humbucker, why don't you try it?

Take off the pickguard, and try to stick the covered pickup in the humbucker slot. If it works, it works.

why bother starting this thread then?

I started it because I wanted answers, but no one will give me any.

If anyone can tell me without "try it yourself" (if I could, I wouldn't have started the thread), then go ahead. But so far no posts have been even slightly helpful.

dude, give it some time. and what do you expect people to say to 'how do i know if a covered humbucker will fit in my strat?' theres no magic method of telepathically discoveing this by reading text on a website, you have to TRY IT YOURSELF. dont blame us for not being helpful, give us some problems that someone who isnt there can actually fix!
