I have a Fuzz Face kit from GGG that I put together, but doesn't work completely.

when it's bypassed, it works like it should. then when i press the switch, the LED lights up, but there is no sound.

Anyone know what's wrong and how to fix it?

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Pics?

Is there a wire or something shorting to ground? Did you socket the transistors? Are they dead? Is something shorting to the chassis ground? Loose wire? Check the battery/power supply?

Check all the wiring is correct, especially on the switch. Can you post a pic?

take a multimeter and test each bit of the circuit for conductivity.,

So we had a music battle, copying what each other did and upping the ante and whatnot. After awhile of going nowhere, I said to the pianist "let's see you do this, asshole" played a single note... and bent it up a step. And left.

Since bypass works: Audio probe.

Need more information - this is like telling someone that you're car radio works, but when you put your foot on the accelerator it doesn't do anything.

OK. I'll post a picture soon.

I did socket the transistors, and they were brand new, so I assume they're not dead.
And the power supply works with my other pedals.

And I'll check for conductivity.

But, what exactly is an audio probe, what does it do, and can I make one?
