It’s a shining light,
a dandelion tale of modern romance
in an anthology of poems entitled
‘beautiful portrayal of the day’,
a dusty book, full of childish recollections
of a stripped down peaceful summer,
full of desert sun and fake cocaine

So if the rain starts I’ll always know which clouds to hide out under,
as a moronic soldier of that mistress Mother Nature,
I always have first pickings from her fields of fair wild flowers
and the best plots of land in which to park my VW camper

I live off train songs and stolen artefacts
from those who dared to answer back
all those times I answered back

cause there’s just something about running
that stops me turning round,
now I’ve found a way of life that’s working
my feet will never hit the ground,
never hit the ground

I turned and said I wouldn’t be back again,
now a different face turns every time I say your name
push the accelerator, let the past get further away

cause there’s just something about running
that stops me turning round,
now I’ve found a way of life that’s working
my feet will never hit the ground,
never hit the ground.

an attempt at lyrics on a cliche subject which gets gets gets at me. c4c.
There's only one thing we can do to thwart the plot of these albino shape-shifting lizard BITCHES!
