I know the AD50VT is hybrid, so what exactly does that mean? its not louder than a 50 Watt solid but the tubes give it tone? What tubes does it have, power tubes, preamp tubes? Would changing the stock tubes help the tone?
Thanks

All of the Valvetronix amps have a single 12AX7 preamp tube (the larger wattage amps like the 100 watt ones might actually have 2, I'm not exactly certain). The poweramp is solid state, but still sounds close to a tube poweramp.

I have a Valvetronix AD30VT-XL.

I've read the improvement from changing the tubes is very minor. Not sure if it's even noticeable.
