Loneliness

I'm waiting for the bell.
A sign to let me know,
That I'm not all alone.

Holding on to hope,
Of a light right at the end.
Of a single moonlit night.

Hoping (wishing) that tonight,
I'll see the light of dawn,
That the night won't outlast me

Wrote this in class as a mini-assignment, and am now trying to find a word to put instead of "hoping" in the last stanza.
My Build! The Razorbeast Could really use some help.

I am always right. and if I am always right, my first statement about always being right, by simple logic, must be true, thus proving that I am always right. dependency loops rule.

I think "praying" would be a good word. I'm not religious myself, but ah well.

Yeah, i did think of "praying", but i thought it might sound too religious that way.

Wishing might work though.
