I was just wondering what's the best way to paint the knob on the pup selector on my strat-style guitar?
I've made my guitar all black and chrome, but i bought a pup selector handle, and it won't fit. So i'm stuck with this white one.

What would i need to paint it?

I was thinking just some sandpaper and some spray paint...

But i thought i'd ask you guys!

I'm not sure if that one will fit. It looks just like the one in my Fender Accessories thread.
It looks very wide and rounded, just like the one that didn't fit.

My friend has an ibanez RGsomething and his fits mine perfectly. It's a little more pointed.

Here, i found this on the ibanez site, this is the exact one: http://www.ibanez.com/parts/2004_PARTS/el_guitar/parts/images/4SC1J1B.jpg

I guess i'll just order that one, but are you sure the paint won't stick even if i sand it?

On this page here are a load of pickup selector switch knobs. Would none of them do?

I'm curious as to what handle your selector switch has? If it's a blade style switch it should just need a slot-type knob surely? But as you're selling a Fender one is that not the case?

Krylon Fusion will bond to plastic. Use that, or get a new knob.

I'm not totally sure about what you're talking about, lol. But the one i ordered, that was too big, was from Fender, but it had a + for the bottom hole. And my guitar has a - for the hole... just a thin metal piece.

Like this: the one in the blue circle is the one that didn't fit, the purple circle is like the one i need...

EDIT: Like this one: http://www.allparts.com/store/knobs-switch-knobs-sk-0710-030,Product.asp
But in black (which they don't have, or if they do, i couldn't find it).

Krylon Fusion, the spray paint. It is designed to go on plastic. Use it.
