Hey guys and gals- I'm rediscovering playing guitar after about 7 years off. Over the years I've played a little bit of everything, from straight rock to surf to prog rock. I've recorded with some big names, and played to empty rooms.

In the past, I was quite a gear *****. My list of guitars owned goes something like this- Les Paul Jr, G&L ASAT Special, Gretsch Duo-Sonic w/ Bigsby, etc... I've also played through tons of cool amps- Ampeg B212 Portaflex, blackface Super Reverb, Sovtek Mig 100, Ampeg Reverberocket, etc...

Currently I own a MIM Fender Duo Sonic and a 93 Gibson SG Jr. with a P-90. I play through a Fender Champion 110 practice amp. I'm giving strong consideration to a new Fender Vibro Champ; 5 Class A watts, and a bunch of cool tones for about $250.

Can someone point me to a tortoise shell pick guard for my Duo Sonic?

Welcome to UG!
About that pickguard: Maybe Warmoth? I dunno, ask Gear Building And Customizing.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Crap, so much for following directions.

Mods- feel free to merge this or nuke it. Thanks.
