I've never played this actual bass, but Ibanez basses are usually very good for the price (I've owned several over the years). They play well and Bartolini pickups sound pretty nice.

its a good bass. I like the SR series better, but I'm a thin neck guy anyways.

I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.

I prefer the SR's too. I just wish the 5s and 6s were a 35" scale like the BTB's. But guess that's not relevent. Ya, thats not a bad bass. Though, I believe we had a thread exactly like this a few days ago...

Also, are you an invader zim fan by any chance?

btb's are great, the shape is unique and fun to play. Great pickups as well. The neck is a little fatter though, but you can't go wrong

A friend of mine has an older BTB 5-string; it's very well-made and sounds great. It's also quite flexible in terms of tone.

Huge, some people need to hold something huge, ya know to uh "make-up", but it also has the NEW Bartolini MK-II which is sweet and honestly the body is beautifully sculpted with some nice choice woods, cool monorail bridge, and its a thru-neck....for -$700 thats a solid investment

SR is better

Peace

I like the 35" scale. I like a bit more tension, not to mention it helps big time if you use a lot of drop tunings.

I actually made a thread the other day involving the BTB five string...I loved it, I wish it came in green though!
