Hey guys, I recently started playing with a bassist and drummer, both of whom are great. We've been getting together and just jamming, and it's been going great. In fact, it's been going so great that they want to play a show where we just get up on stage and jam for a while. They've already got a show lined up, and I want to make sure my improvising technique is up to par. So, any advice?

Thanks in advance.

(Progressive Metal is) like playing Nirvana, but faster, with little or no powerchords, cleanly, with more technique, and complex time signatures.

don't you think maybe you should've considered this before getting a show?..... anyways, just keep improv'ing. thats really the only way to continually get better at it.
