Ok so today my bud decided that he was going to bring his acoustic guitar to a practice today and found that it had a crack in the neck. Technically it isn't his guitar, theres a possibility that his younger sisters may have dropped it ..... So basically he needs this fixed in order to continue life as he knows it. He cannot afford to replace the guitar so I need some quick help on an easy way to fix this.

Heres whats wrong.

He picked up the guitar to find that the back of the neck had a crack down it. It is still playable, but the crack continues to grow for the tension of the strings are pulling it. The guitar itself is ok, but however the neck is ruined. I'm saying that the crack is growing. I can usually do mods on on my buds guitars, but I have yet to come across something like this. I'd imagine someone more higher knowledge of this could do something. But my bud is broke and needs something done now. PLEASE HELP!

First thing he needs to do, as in right now, is remove the strings.

This will help stop the crack from getting bigger.

Then, if you want to fix it, pay for it. Or.

Lots of "Spreading the Crack" comments in there, so I hope you aren't bashful.

Personally, I find that injecting the goo, sorry Glue, into the crack with a syringe, is far batter than just smearing a bit through the opening.

Pun's intended.

But seriously, inject the glue if you don't have the neck in two bits.

Hey man thanks.....I think Ill try to test this on a old guitar....if that works ill fix it. On the project guitar, I dont know how and I really dont trust how he glued the headstock back on, even with the clamps on. But we're not talking huge crack, we're talking small crack thats annoying the guy playin it. Thanks for all the help!
