I've had similar complaints, especially with the Spector Mike Kroeger sig, but in the end it just comes down to making money.

Watch out! I'm gonna get one, and when i do i will use all of the awesome pouring out of it to rule the world and make slaves out of you all! HAHAHAHAHA! But no seriously, its f*ing retarded
#7
yea i agree with hat, as a matter of fact, i have an SRX 500, which is the same model, same pickups, everything, but it has a cooler transparent black burst color, and a 3 band eq, all of which cost about 600 less than that stupid model.

I definatly wouldn't want to pay 1000 dollars for a stupid looking 12th fret inlay

its a simple design, for someone who wants a simple bass, but i still don't see why they're charging so much for it...

You're obviously better off getting an SR, but I don't see what the big deal is.
#13
That's not as bad as the Mike D'Antonio sig.

It's pretty much the same damn bass, except the tone knob is beside the bridge, so you can't accidentaly turn it down while flailing around like a jerk.

I can understand maybe one tone-less bass, but two?

I was looking at a used Warwick Vampyre LTD 5'er for about $200. I went home to grab my wallet and came back and some jerk with an epic beard got it already..

I don't care for his bass, but his tone is amazing, at least on The Light That Blinds.

basses like this make me cry a little.

so much wasted wood.

what's wrong with it? it looks like a nice bass. although what i care about is how it sounds so i don't really know the quality of it. (looks don't really matter if the sound is crap)

I could technically remove all the knobs but volume from my Jazz and never really desire the other tones at any given time, but you know what? I'd hardwire the bass to my settings, not to bloody flat. Like I mean really - 2 pickups but no way to blend them?

Ah i have just thought of my plan for the future.

1. become metal bassist.

2. Get custom ibanez bass.

3. Remove all eq but volume knob and place band logo on 12th fret.

really look at them most of the time all they do i chuck a band logo on the 12th fret.
Now, a question of etiquette - as I pass, do I give you the ass or the crotch?

This is almost as bad as thos 14 string basses, this sig brings shame to bassist kind everywhere. I feel a little dead inside now
