What an awesome show!

Mountain opened with:
Song i didnt know
Nantucket Sleighride
Cover of Crossroads
Theme for an Imaginary Western
Never in My Life

They were great, Leslie's voice is come back and its still strong and his new Budda amps really scream! Corky was funny behind the drums, this one splash in the corner kept falling over, and a guy would run out and put it back up, and sometimes Corky would purposely hit it over and make a "Whoops" face.

Their new bassist, doesnt really fit with them. His bass was very low in the mix, and its not like he was bad, but he gave off this "Douche bag" image.
He would swing his dreadlocks and play with his hand over the neck.

Joe came on with Jeff, Galen and Stu! I was so happy to see Stu, i had heard that some new young bassist was playing in the US leg of the tour, a great surprise.

Ill try to remember the whole setlist, mostly in order:

I Just Wanna Rock
Overdriver
Satch Boogie
Flying in a Blue Dream
Ice 9
Ghosts
Revelation
Super Collosal
One Big Rush
Time Machine (SOOO happy he played this)
Cool #9
Andalusia
Stu Solo (Amazing as always)
Always with Me, Always with You
Surfing with the Alien

Encore:
Crowd Chant
Summer Song

THEN

Leslie came back up and they all played

Stormy Monday
and Going Down

AWESOME set!

Is there a Satch thread this should be in somewhere?

I saw Satch two years ago, he played Crowd chant but nobody in the crowd knew the chant. It was really sad seeing him play the riff and then wait in silence for the chant that never came.

I lolled at him though.

I saw him 2 weeks ago and the playlist was very similar if not the same as yours. I thought it was really awesome. Yea that bassist from Mountain with his "Dean" guitar and flocking his hair around came off like some sort of poser, but I don't like judging people (even though I just did ).

Anyway, nice to hear that someone else got to see "The Professor". He's just awesome.

Not sure if it happened at your show, but people would cheer for "Stu", it was funny. He had an awesome bass solo that's for sure. And his bass was very shiny.

I feel bad for Satch. He is a baldie and long hair is what he is all about.

I bet he would trade his "mad skillz" for some hair if he had the choice.

He should do like Elliot Easton and get a wig.

Did Leslie have his Ed Roman guitar?

I'm jealous. Satch is my favorite shredder.

And your name is great too.

YOU GONNA MAKE BISCUTS?! Lulz.

I saw them as well. Satriani was pretty good, I'm not THAT big of a fan of that type of music, but it was nice. The Stu bass solo was the best part of the concert for sure. So awesome.

I even tried dressing up as a fly myself, and throwing myself out of the window in the hope that they will follow me. But to no avail.
