Theres a youtube demo of it. But my friend had it, then he got a valveking and said that was much, much better (And some people dont really like the valveking on here, I think its alright).. so..

I personnally have not heard it in person though... And people often say if you have emgs, its better to goto tubes, as they overdrive the tubes easier? Also, my friend kinda killed his TBX with his emgs + afterburner + pedal... so..

There.

O, also, that pedal has some dislike around here...

But you have $600, cant you get a tube combo for that? I think theres a Bugera (?) that mimiks a Mesa.

Edit: Theres this, try it in store?

Also, just putting this out there, me and my friend just played at a rehearsal place, and they had a Fender Hotrod, thing was 40-60 watts, idk, but it was loud, I couldnt put it past 2.5 in volume, and my drummer hits heavy... so, 60 watts tube will be enough to compete with a drummer.

I don't know it this is too late, but...

I myself own the tbx150h and am very happy with it. But I only use the head, I use a marshall cab. When I tryed out the cab it was kinda' muddy sounding.I play in a hardcore/metal band and it definitely gets the job done. It has lots of low end w/ lots of clarity even with the gain way up. The thing works great for lead guitar/solo's. Bottom line, with as much distortion you can get out of this thing, I think it would work great for melodic death metal...Just don't buy the Ibanez Cab.
