No. I'm not too knowledgeable about it (I don't remember any of the cons), but I remember reading on here about anchoring and realizing it was a terrible idea. It's one thing to have your arm rest on the bridge or body of your guitar; you can't really help that. But you by no means want to be anchored onto your instrument. I recall one of the big issues being tension in your arms.

Freepower is very knowledgeable in this field, and when he posts, you'll get why it's not something that you wanna do. My advice to you; if you're doing it now, immediately start working on correcting it. Remember, you wanna catch your mistakes as early as possible, so that they are easier to break. Any flaws in your technique should be dealt with, because they can actually be a cause of injury.
