I'm wondering if there is a program online that I can download for free that will allow me to create beats for my "rap" group, The Sex Panda's, and allow me to record lyrics over the beat (aka it saves the file in .mp3 format). A link to either the download or a thread answering my question will be appreciated.

You suck, give up at once.

Fruity Loops, not exactly free if you know what I mean, but I think there is a free, slimmer version.

Good for making drums, oscillators etc, also, if you got an input like a mic, you can record to it and edit and mix it. C

Check it out

I can torrent a copy of fruity loops when I go home. College =/= torrents =(

But I'd love a copy. Soulja Boi apparently uses it for his beats.

The entire band is a joke. It's not meant to show talent at all.

Vikings? What Vikings? We are but poor, simple farmers. The village was burning when we got here, and the people must have slain themselves.

Theres a freeware program called Hotstepper. Its pretty easy to use, and sounds pretty good too. Altho some things about it are limited, it should be ok. Maybe with something like Audacity and an editing program, you should be set up.
