I was wondering do you have to get a custom strat with humbuckers on it or can you put a humbucker on a normal stratocaster? Im fairly new with things like this so if you could not flame me or anything that would be cool

Fender makes some "H-S-S" models, meaning instead of having 3 single coil pickups (SSS), you have a humbucker in the bridge position and 2 singles. I'm 99% sure they don't make a 2-humbucker strat, but there's a small chance that i'm wrong.

here's an example:

EHX Big Muff Pi; Dunlop CryBaby GCB-95 (modded); MXR M-108 10-band; DigiTech JamMan Looper

^ Actually I think they have. Double fat or something along those lines.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

You can even go so far as to have an SSS strat and just pop a single coil-sized humbucker in it like I did to mine.

^George, very nice, but I'm all about the maple fretboard.

Double fats used to be a production model but got discontinued around 2004 maybe '05... not sure. I think the Flamed Maple Top models (like the one above) are in production as of this year. Anyway, here's a real life pic of mine. It's an '01 Double Fat

Yeah. Actually, there used to be a Strat called the "Big Apple" and it was H-S-H. But they are no longer in production, so I think you'd have to customize your strat to be HSH.

Get a Fat Strat, it's the same cost as the standard Strat ($400) and you get the bridge humbucker. You get lots of tones out of it, and you have the option of changing any of them (but most likely the humbucker) later if you want to.

I used to have a Big Apple strat and they were HH. Two SD pickups. I think it was a '59 and a pearly gates IIRC. Sweet guitar. Mine was "translucent sunset orange" over a swamp ash body.
