Someone is selling this guitar used for 300 dollars and I thought it might be a good upgrade from my Squier HSS strat. It looks like its a discontinued model as it has the following specs:

LTD EC-400
- Construction: set neck
- Scale: 24.75"
- Body: mahogany
- Neck/fretboard: 3-piece mahogany/rosewood
- Inlays: flags wtih model name at 12th fret
- Pickups: EMG-81 active set
- Electronics: 2 volume, tone, 3-way toggle
- Hardware: black + earvana compensated nut & Grover tuners
- Bridge: Tune-O-Matic with stop tailpiece
- Frets: 24 XJ.

and I don't see any models with these specs on the ESP website. I mostly play metal and classic rock. I'm a beginner/intermediate guitarist thats been playing for a little less than a year. I'm not "in the know" with guitar hardware so any information or opinions would be great.

Thanks

It's the older, better model. Get it.
The DNA results show that Jeremy Kyle is a nob.

Great guitar, I've played it several times while testing out amps. Love the finish and slick feel of the neck; yum-tastic!
