I need a hot bridge pickup that is bright, but not brittle. Has to be great clean, and great dirty (up to Led Zeppelin). I don't need a metal pickup. I play indie, blues, punk, and rock (Led Zeppelin, Hendrix).

Also, I'd prefer to keep it <$100.

I'll be running it through a Vox AC15 and a Fulltone OCD if that helps.

My guitar is a PRS SE Custom Semi-Hollow

It's mahogany, two-humbucker, with a stoptail bridge.

Basically, I need a nice, bright, spankin' bridge pickup.

Thanks!

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I would also like to know this. I was looking at DiMarzio Tone Zone for the Bridge, which is £70, maybe $100 over there?

Would help to know what guitar it is too, but if it's mahogany a Duncan Custom 5.

I'm listening to that right now, it sounds pretty much what I'm after.

Do you need an F-spaced one...what's the string spacing?

Yup, that's F-spaced....just means you need the Trembucker version.

I'm a bit torn here, the Custom 5 would be great but so would the Pearly Gates given that you don't use a lot of distortion....in fact I'm going to change my mind. The more I think about it I the spongier low end of the Pearly Gates would suit you better, it's a also lower output so better suited for cleans.
