I used to string my guitars backwards not knowing any better I would string them from the left side of the post instead of the right. I started stringing my guitars the right way but the Ibanez I use for drop C tuning started to have a lot of fret buzz it worked better with the strings strung through from the right side strung away from the tuners. Does it hurt to sting it backwards? if it doesn't I will string my drop C guitar that way because the frets don't buzz that way.

wow, that's odd. String buzz the correct way but none backwards. I can't say I've ever heard of that. I don't see why it would hurt the guitar at all. It would be the same tension on the neck just shifted slightly. I'd say go with it if it reduces buzz.

I don't believe so, I used to have a habit of doing that, but if anyone else plays your guitar tell them or there may be string breakage...

Unless you have a floyd, then it doesn't matter.
