I've been playing guitar for about 2 years now and want to get more serious about it and a Microcube isn't going to help me much. So now i need a new amp, I'm looking to keep it under $600. I mostly play classic rockish stuff and occasionally metal. Also tubes would be cool if I can find a tube tube amp in that price range. Thanks

yeah that is def the best amp in your range for your style.

Tascam US-800 and a hand full of Mics into Nedundo 4

under $600 you could probably get a little better. VK is good for 400. i would say this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Marshall-DSL401-JCM2000-40w-1x12-Tube-Combo-Amp-DSL-401_W0QQitemZ280277060833QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item280277060833&_trkparms=72%3A1205|39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A12|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

the buy it now price is $635 including shipping. if youre in the US that is
periphery/bulb!

gear:
Ibanez RG7321 w/ D-sonic in bridge

Peavey 5150 mk ii & b52 4x12 cab

line 6 podxt for recording

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

Valveking is definetly not the best you can get for those styles and that price. Check out a Peavey Delta Blues, Classic 30, Traynor YCV50 and perhaps a Mesa F-30.

This. +1 to the Classic 30 or the Mesa. Valvekings are overrated.. hop off the bandwagon please.
