Hey everybody, I was wondering where to go to find out the answer to a computer question, then I started thinking that we're all accessing UG through a computer and somebody out there has to know something about computers. So my hard drive got a virus about 3 years ago and no antivirus can get rid of it, I'm wondering if I clear out and reformat the drive will that erase the virus as well or will it stay on the drive even though its clear? Any help would be appreciated

Reformat = all data GONE.
Virus = data.
Yes, your virus will be gone. As will your operating system. Hope you have the system restore disks on hand... If not, there's always www.ubuntu.com

how did you have a virus for three years?! Just do a format and have an operating system on hand.
