does anyone know what is going on with flea and modulus guitars, on the modulus website they now refer to the "flea bass" as "funk unlimited" does this mean they have parted ways with the great man, is he no longer endorsing their guitars or are they just trying a new name to stir some interest in an old bass. if anyone can shed light on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yes, Flea has lost his endorsement deal with Modulus. The guys at Modulus weren't happy that Flea was using his Jazz live and not the FLea bass, one thing lead to another, and now he's out of the picture.

Flea was using a Modulus live for the Stadium Tour, cos the Jazz didn't cut through enough for him apparently.

However, I've seen videos of him using precisions and jazz's around, so it might just be because he didn't use a Modulus for the Stadium Album.
