I need a song to cover for my A level Music Tech course. I was doing Come Clarity by Un Flames, but metal drums are a hassle. So I'm looking that is-

2-4 minutes long
Easy Drum parts
Use of dynamics
Easy-ish vocal parts
Not metal
Preferably something from the 70s?

The entire song has to 8+ tracks. Any suggestions?

Cheers.

anything by the white stripes... i did a level music tech 2 years ago, gots myself an A, i did white stripes for AS and fall to pieces (VR) for my a level peice, the trick is to make sure you have reasons for all your editing, not just 'cos it sounds betterer'

Led Zeppelin - Immigrant song. Those Viking screams may be a little tough though. Actually maybe something by ELO, Rock 'N' Roll Is King?

I did It's So Easy for AS, then Don't Cry for A2 (studio recordings). Another easy metal one is Dying in your Arms by Trivium, which I did for an arrangement or something, but it's easy enough.

Highway to Hell.
I play by my own rules. And I have one rule; There are no rules... but if there are, they're there to be broken. Even this one.

Confused? Good.

I can't play drums and don't have a drummer. I need something dead easy.

I'm assuming part of the project requires you to record drums so just using EZdrummer and the DFH is out of the question?

edit: now my playlist has come to Danzig - Mother
do that

edit2: Liquido - Narcotic
some 90s pop rock, easy as hell

Do a song you don't like a lot otherwise you will never want to hear that song again by the time you've finished your coursework. Sweet Home Alabama or something easy.

Yeah, all the instruments have to be played live.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out.
