metallica has been a sinking ship since the release of the black album. Master of puppets is for me the best album ever made because it changed my life and it's sound and techniques are the basis of my style of playing rhythm guitar.

Death Magnetic is just a hopeless attempt of metallica to please their bank account. they are trying to pull the fans who lost their interest after the black album back. i think death magnetic is nothing special and it was out dated even before it's release.

The sound quality is poor, the guitars don't pop out, the horrible drum sound does. and james sings like a school boy. there are newer, fresher and better metal releases out there.

Metal has changed and metallica doesn't fit into it.

...and justice for all is my personal favorite metallica album i dug some black album tracks and i will tell you right now i like st. anger (i dare anyone to find me an album that sounds like that one), but to me death magnetic was an abomination.

The only thing i like with the album was the intro to The Day That Never Comes. Everything else just sounds like your shaking small pieces of metal in a can.

No, Death Magnetic sucks. Kill 'em All is their best by far.

Death Magnetic is definately different to what Metallica used to be, but I find it far better than some of their other releases. I like it, but nobody should kid themselves into thinking it is the same Metallica of old.
