i know they kick all ass,im a fan,but i noticed that some of their songs sound alot the same,for instance,listen to "back in the village" and "flash of the blade" any comments?? not flaming them..

Should be in the "ONLY Iron Maiden" thread in the Metal sub-forum, but yeah.

The band have a formula they base most of their songs on imho. Think of progressions like E5, C5, G5, D5.. there is a name for it that makes their songs catchy that Bruce himself used, but I forget.

It's called the Maiden Progression, it's used in a lot of their songs, but if I'm right, Back In The Village and Flash Of The Blade are in different keys, and don't sound that similar.
