I'm not a guitar god or anything like that but I do think I'm ok. Since this is a tab site you probably know I learned everything I know from tabs. Well now I'm getting more serious about becoming a professional musician. My goals are more along the lines of John Petrucci and not Angus Young. I want to know where a good place to learn music theory would be. I would prefer it be free if possible since I am broke. If not it's ok just give your ideas.

Thank You.

^Ok, maybe a link to the crusades?

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/search.php?s=crusade&w=columns

and if you want to get into modes:

http://ultimate-guitar.com/lessons/the_basics/modes_ii.html

Helped me understand modes and chord construction. EDIT: It is not the best place for you to go to if you're beginning in music theory...
If you play guitar, please don't waste your time in The Pit, and please instead educate yourself in the Musician Talk forum, where you can be missing out on valuable info.
