Can anybody tell me the main differences between a live mixing desk and a studio recording mixing desk??

Thankyou much

A live console might have a power amp built right into it. Might. Otherwise... no real difference. One will be found in a recording environment, the other will be found in a live venue. Pretty much it.

A great console could be used for either, though more expensive, higher end consoles are not used live quite as often, simply because the wear and tear of live use is too much for a recording rig.

Why do you ask? You clearly have something in mind.

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?

I know it sounds crazy, but try to learn to inhale your voice. www.thebelcantotechnique.com
