I'm looking at a used American Standard strat on the local Craigslist with a couple modifications. With most of them I was able to figure out what they do in a quick moment, but one that has me stumped is a toggle that was added. It's a series parallel switch, and from a friend of mine who took industrial technology I know it changes pickup polarity, but I want to know what it does sound-wise.

if any once can help it'd be greatly appreciated. And I don't want you to 'help' with other guitar recommendations. I've been going around for months, an American Standard strat is what I've settled on.

it will make it sound more like a tele when pushed in.
