I hit on you thinking you were 20.
You were 34.
I finished my meatloaf sandwich.
"Spare change?"
Spare status.
Small guitars.
Pot smoked out of apples.

"Sing me a sweet country song. Like there's a girl back home waiting for me."
I'm headin' out West
So I can spend some time a thinkin'
That there's somethin' out there waiting
to lay down by your side.
And I disappear to the woods
So I can do some better lovin'
And come a home a wiser person
To lay my boots under your bed.
Portland, Oregon
Portland, Oregon
Help me be a better man
Let my love know that I'm tryin'
To say my vows and take her hand.
Portland, Oregon
Portland, Oregon
I'm movin' away from you sweet girl
To Portland, Oregon so I can be the man
that you so desperately deserve.

One day it will be like finding $20 dollars in the wash
to even remember this collection of words that were written down
drunk onto blank, undeserving paper.
Poor advice.

First of all, welcome back, its been too long between works. While retaining your usual style, this seems less down in the dumps depressive. I really enjoyed this (when do I ever not?) Alex'll be glad your back as well. I liked the repitition of Portland, Oregon and the imagery of "pot smoked out of apples. The last stanza was beautiful. The only thing that bugs me about this piece is your insistance of using capitals to begin every line. Its unnecessary. But apart from that, solid as always

Publishing together?

If you have the means to do that, then yes, let's do it.
I'm in Portland, Oregon right now, broke and penniless, so if anyone knows people in Portland who would offer me a couch, please please let me know.
Poor advice.

I have the means.

I actually hope we can work this out, because I'm assuming I'll get a profit, but mainly because your shit needs to be properly heard.

PM me, or whatever.
