So far here's my list of songs i love singing a long too in order of preference

1.The Verve- The drugs don't work
2.Snow Patrol- Run
3.Coldplay- Yellow
4.Rhianna- Umbrella
5.Oasis-Importance of being idol
6.The Eagles- Hotel California
7.Coldplay- The Scientist

Could anyone suggest some beautiful ones that are emotional, there's hallelujah by Jeff Buckley which is one of the most beautiful songs of all time but its so difficult to sing yet alone play

Helps if the girls dig this too

Well, I've heard, this is just something I've heard, that it is possible to sing to songs that have words. I've also heard that songs you like are good ones to sing to. I could be completely wrong about this, since I've only heard other people discuss it and haven't researched it myself yet.
"I was influenced to play the guitar after I saw the guy on Power Rangers do it. I figured it would be easy, since a guitar is basically a big kazoo."

Also, songs that are within the range of your own voice are usually a good bet...

copeland - careful now

actually, almost anything by copeland you can make into a nice acoustic sound with chords that sound different from everything else (G, C, E, etc. usually not the most prominent, and the progressions are fun)
